Luther Team Camp (Boys): Wednesday, July 9th – Saturday, July 12th:

I expect we’ll have a solid roster (numbers and skill wise) and it should be a great experience for all the Crimson wrestlers in attendance. If you/your wrestler is thinking of attending the Luther Team Camp please let me know ASAP (if you haven’t) so I can keep them/you in the loop. Assuming we have a roster of ten or more wrestlers who want to attend a coach from the Maple Grove Wrestling staff will plan to attend as well (Coach Carl is thinking of making the trip this summer).

Luther Team Camp (Girls): Tuesday, July 15th – Thursday, July 17th:

Similar to the boys team we need to finalize our roster and register our team ASAP if we intend to send a group of girls. Will car pool to and from Luther College and wrestlers will stay on campus Tuesday – Thursday. We have never sent multiple girls to this camp previously but Russo went last summer as an individual and was put on another girls team for the duration of camp. I think she had a good experience. It would be an even better experience for all Crimson wrestlers if we had a solid group of girls who wanted to attend together. If we did get 5 girls or more we would try to send a Maple Grove coach to this as well. If you/your wrestler is thinking of attending the Luther Team Camp please let me know ASAP (if you haven’t) so I can keep them/you in the loop.

Wrestling starts at 10a and the team wrestles 5 duals. Coaches Carl and Donnie Leuer are planning to attend with the team that day and possibly Mike and/or Gavin Peterson will attend and help coach as well. Last year we had about 15 wrestlers attend. Please let me know ASAP if you plan to wrestle at this tournament this year (a text at 763-913-0601 would be great) and I’ll need to start collecting funds for all wrestlers planning to attend as well ($20/wrestler). Entry fee can be Venmo’d to me at @Troy-Seubert as I will pay the team fee via check.

This is a new opportunity for us but Irondale high school is hosting summer duals on these two dates with 8 teams planning to attend each of the evenings. Another great opportunity for our wrestlers to get live matches against new/different competition. I assume the plan is to get each team three duals per night. Please let me know if your wrestler would like to be added to the list who plans to attend this event. If there is enough interest to send a team we will also have a coach from the high school team attend as well.
