Maple Grove Summer Wrestling 2024 Update

Freestyle practices at Maple Grove have come to a close and now it’s time for most of our wrestlers to
turn their offseason focus back to folkstyle. With the end of the school year just around the corner I’m
assuming everyone’s schedules are filling up fast. There are some awesome wrestling opportunities that
are coming up – and I want to make sure everyone has all the information to hopefully help with that
planning process.
The registration deadline for one of our best summer wrestling opportunities (The Luther Team Camp) is
also fast approaching. Below are the details for the MG Summer Wrestling Opportunities:

Summer Wrestling Weekly Sessions:
There are 6 weeks of Summer Wrestling available. Each week costs $20. Sessions are as follows:
Week 1: June 10 th – 13 th (TBD) – Coached by Coach Polanco ______
Week 2: June 17th – 20 th (TBD) – Coached by Coach Donnie Leuer__
Week 3: June 24 th – 27 th (TBD) – Coached by Coach _____________
Week 4: July 15 th – 18 th (6p – 7:15p) – Coached by Coach Carl Leuer_____
Week 5: July 22 nd – 25 th (4p – 5:15p) – Coached by Coach Josh Barzowski__
Week 6: July 28 th – August 3rd (4p – 5:15p) – Coached by Coach Jake Olmstead__

Saturday, June 22 Eau Claire Team Duals:
Wrestling starts at 10a and the team wrestles 5 duals. Coaches Carl and Donnie Leuer are planning to
attend with the team that day and possibly Mike and/or Gavin Peterson will attend and help coach as
well. Last year we had about 15 wrestlers attend. Please let me know ASAP if you plan to wrestle at this
tournament this year (763-913-0601) and I’ll need to start collecting funds for all wrestlers planning to
attend as well ($20/wrestler). Entry fee can be Venmo’d to me at @Troy-Seubert as I will pay the team
fee via check. If there are extra funds once the team fee is paid I’ll re-imburse extra funds.

July 7 th – 10 th : Luther Team Camp:
Needing to finalize our roster and register our team ASAP. Will car pool to and from Luther College and
wrestlers will stay on campus Sunday – Wednesday. Find more information and official register for the

I expect we’ll have a solid roster (numbers and skill wise) and it should be a great experience for all the
Crimson wrestlers in attendance. If you/your wrestler is thinking of attending the Luther Team Camp
please let me know ASAP (if you haven’t) so I can keep them/you in the loop.

Summer Maple Grove Wrestling Strength and Conditioning Options:

Potential August Clinic at Maple Grove:
I’m currently finalizing a camp to be led be an elite level technician at Maple Grove. Sessions will be
either August 5 th – 7 th or August 12 th – 14 th . This will likely be a six-session clinic with sessions from 9a –
11a and 12p – 2p. Look for additional details and registration information as they become available.

Seubert Cabin Weekend:
Still TBD as I need to figure out my personal schedule availability and I’m waiting for a few things to fall
into place to make that happen.
