Maple Grove Summer Wrestling Update

The end of the school year is just around the corner and it that time of year when everyone’s schedules are likely filling up fast.
There are some awesome wrestling opportunities that are coming up – and I want to make sure everyone has all the information.
The registration deadline for one of our best summer wrestling opportunities (The Luther Team Camp) is also fast approaching.

Below are the details for the MG Summer Wrestling Opportunities:

Summer Wrestling Weekly Sessions:
There are 5 weeks of Summer Wrestling available. Each week costs $20. Sessions are as follows:
Week 1: June 12 th – 15 th (3p – 4:15p) – Coached by Coach Boone (with Coach Polanco)
Week 2: June 19 th – 22 nd (Currently scheduled for 10a – 11:15a) – Coach yet to be determined
Week 3: June 26 th – 29 th (10a – 11:15a) – Coached by Gavin Peterson
Week 4: July 17 th – 20 th (10a – 11:15a) – Coached by Coach Boone
Week 5: July 24 th – 27 th (6p – 7:15p) – Coached by Coach Donnie Leuer

Saturday, June 24 Eau Claire Team Duals:
Wrestling starts at 10a and the team wrestles 5 duals. Mike Peterson, Gavin Peterson (and potentially other coaches) will be leading the team. Last year we had about 15 wrestlers attend. Please let me know ASAP if you plan to wrestle at this tournament this year (763-913-0601).

July 9 th – 12 th : Luther Team Camp:
Needing to finalize our roster and register our team ASAP. Will car pool to and from Luther College and wrestlers will stay on campus Sunday – Wednesday. Find more information at

To this point I have heard the following wrestlers would like to attend: Grady,  Reese,  Ethan,  Noah,  Alex, Connor. I’m hopeful we can add 5 or 10 more wrestlers to this list and make it a truly great experience for all the Crimson wrestlers in attendance. If you/your wrestler is thinking of attending the Luther Team Camp please let me know ASAP (if you haven’t) so I can keep them/you in the loop.

Summer Maple Grove Wrestling Strength and Conditioning Options:

Crimson Power (Speed and Strength):
Monday’s – Thursday’s June 13 th – July 28 th with three different sessions ($130 per session):
1. Session 1: 7:30a – 10:15p. Grades 9 – 12.

Potential August Clinic at Maple Grove:
I’m currently finalizing a camp lead by one of my favorite Clinicians I’ve been around (Orlando Ponce) that will go from August 14 th – 16 th or August 15 th – 17 th . This will likely be a six-session clinic withsessions from 9a – 11a and 12p – 2p. Look for additional details and registration information as theybecome available.

Seubert Cabin Weekend:
We will leave on Friday, August 4 th and return Sunday, August 6 th . We’ll head to the Seubert Cabin for a weekend on the lake waterskiing/surfing/wakeboarding/tubing/skiing on a canoe paddle if your talented ��, swimming, fishing, etc. Interested wrestlers please let me know so I can add you to the list
and keep you in the loop. May have a need for additional parent help if there is a dad who would like toattend as well.
