Crimson Wrestlers, Managers, and Families-

Week Thirteen Recap:

Man!  What a crazy dual.  Despite being without some of our best wrestlers, we were right there and almost pulled off a great team win.  Our guys were fired up and wrestled with a lot of heart.  We won Seven of the 14 weights including some really impressive wins.  The seven guys who got their hand raised included Connor Peterson, Rufus Bartee, Jayden Waste (1st Varsity win and 1st Varsity pin), Max Johnson, Noah Fox, Andrew Toms (after being out sick for the previous week), and Luis Haro.

The effort was there – but our margin for error was razor thin and when the dust settled, we came up just short.

Despite the overall result, we have some good momentum heading into an even bigger week.  It’s time to take our wrestling to the next level at individuals!

Here are the details you’ll need to know for the week ahead:

Mat Boss Video Access:

Many wrestlers are now watching their matches on Mat Boss each week – which is awesome!  This is a great opportunity for kids to learn from their matches and improve at a much faster rate than would otherwise be possible.  Watching back matches can be a great learning tool and is highly encouraged.  This is how that is done:

Here is a video showing you how to gain access to your matches:

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks.

Sports Engine, Facebook Page and Future Communication:

Lastly please download the Sports Engine App and sign up to receive future communications.  Parents and wrestlers can each sign up to receive future communications and schedule changes through the Sports Engine app by going to Crimson-Wrestling.com.  If you have any challenges with this please text me your email address at 763-913-0601 and I’ll make sure you are added to the app portion.  Please let me know if you have any questions with this as we will use this app for communications throughout the season.

Also, I often post fun pictures or related articles on the Maple Grove High School Wrestling Page on Facebook (along with this article).  If you are a Facebook user please like our page.  Thanks!

Technique Video of the Week:

We have won’t have any additional Technique of the week videos for the season.  Right now, it’s about mastering the technique that you know and utilize most.

The Week Ahead:

Things are about to get intense!  This is the week that many goals and dreams are realized.  We also have some team goals on the table this Saturday – and it’s time to make them happen!  Very excited for our guys and looking forward to seeing everyone put all their hard work on the line to accomplish their own personal greatness.  As always – Go Crimson!!!

As always let me know if anybody has any questions.
